AIT is part way through updating the procedure for students to apply for positions as graduate teaching assistants (GTAs). The update is not complete at this time. Please carefully follow the instructions below.

To apply for a position as a GTA

1. download the new application form (it’s an Excel spreadsheet).
2. Fill in the information asked for on both sheets.
3. email the completed form to aitgta@gmu.edu and only to that address. Send the email from your GMU email account.

You can email additional information, e.g., a resumé, a schedule of your classes, to the same email address; be sure you use your GMU email account to send these messages so we can match them with your application.

NOTE CAREFULLY: Applying for a GTA position, no matter how you do it, in no way assures you of a position with our department.
