Reading Your Degree Evaluation


Accessing the Degree Evaluation

  1. 1. Navigate to the Degree Evaluation in PatriotWeb as follows:
    1. Log into PatriotWeb.
    2. Choose Student Services and Financial Aid.
    3. Choose Student Records.
    4. Choose Degree Evalution.
  2. Choose the current semester from the drop-down box labeled “Select a Term”.
  3. You will see your current program information. You should see Program listed as BS Information Technology, First Major as Information Technology, and Concentrations as your current concentration.
    1. If your major shown is not Information Technology, you will need to see an IT advisor to fill out a Change of Major form.
    2. If you have more than one major and IT is not your First Major, you will need to use What-if Analysis (see Step 5) to view your IT evaluation.
    3. If your major is listed as Information Technology, but no concentration is listed, you should come to one of the AIT offices (ST 120 or PW-BRH 102) to declare your concentration. You must have a concentration declared in order to graduate. In the meantime, you may still view your Degree Evaluation using What-if Analysis (see Step 5). The Degree Evaluation cannot work without a concentration selected.
  4. If all of your information is correct:
    1. Click on the link at the bottom of the screen labeled “Generate New Evaluation.” You will see another screen confirming your program information.
    2. Click on the small radio button next to “Program: BS Information Technology” to select it.
    3. Click on the button labeled “Generate Request”, and skip to Step 6.
  5. What-if Analysis: If any information was incorrect, or if you want to view the effect of any changes you are considering, you will need to use the What-if Analysis feature:
    1. Make a note of the semester listed as “Catalog Term”.
    2. Click on the link at the bottom of the screen labeled “What-if Analysis”.
    3. In the drop-down box labeled “Entry Term”, select your Catalog Term and click on Continue.
    4. In the drop-down box labeled “Program”, select “BS Information Technology” and click on Continue.
    5. In the drop-down box labeled “First Major”, select “Information Technology and Department: None” and click on Add More.
    6. In the drop-down box labeled “Concentration 1”, select your concentration and click on Submit.
    7. Click on Generate Request and proceed with Step 6.
  6. From the three choices of display options, select Detail Requirements and click on Submit. Your Degree Evaluation is displayed.

Important Notes

  • For help reading your Degree Evaluation, see any IT advisor.
  • Some information may not be recorded properly in your Degree Evaluation. If that appears to be the case, see an IT advisor immediately.
  • Your Degree Evaluation represents a snapshot of your current progress. Be sure to print it at least once a semester and file it in a safe location.
