AIT Pre-Requisite Registration Problems

Starting April 13, 2009 - Ending April 30, 2009

AIT Pre-Requisite Registration Problems!

Fall registration begins Monday, April 13th. The department has asked the registrar to set Patriotweb to deny access to a course if a student does not have the pre-requisites for that course. If you try to register for a course Patriotweb will respond to you with a message saying "PREQ and TEST SCORE-ERROR" if it believes you lack the pre-requisites.

Patriotweb does not understand all the nuances of pre-requisites, and so may deny a student access to a course for which that student is qualified, in terms of pre-requisites. Thus, the fact that Patriotweb denies you access to the course does not necessarily mean you lack the pre-requisites: it only means Patriotweb thinks you lack them.

If you believe you should be able to register for a course based on courses you've taken (including courses you've transferred), then fill out the form at:
http://rastaban.ite.gmu.edu/charles/noregister.html

This (functional but stylistically challenged) page collects the information we need from you in order to review whether you do or do not meet the pre-requisite conditions for taking the course. Each submission has to be reviewed by hand; this can take up to two full working days. We process the requests in the order they were submitted: Patriotweb provides us no other way to handle
applicants fairly.

DON'T send email requests unless you have also submitted a completed form. We will base our actions on the *forms* we receive.

Thank you
