Can other GMU courses be substituted for IT required courses?
The following GMU Courses may be applied toward AIT requirements. The AIT advisor must approve other substitutions. (Obtain Substitution/ Waiver form from the AIT office or ITE website.)
| GMU | BSIT Required Course |
|---|---|
| CS 112 | IT 108 |
| CS 211 | BSIT Elective |
| MATH 113 | MATH 108 |
| MATH 203 | MATH 111 |
| STAT 344 | IT 250 |
| MATH 125 | MATH 112 |
Note: CS 105 does not substitute for CS 305. Students who have taken DESC 210, MGMT 301, MKTG 301, or MIS 310 prior to declaring the IT major should speak with an advisor to request a waiver for MSOM 302 or 303. These are not substitutions, but waivers may apply in the case of SOM students who have taken these courses prior to declaring the AIT major.
