CLEP Exam for IT 103, An Introduction to Computing

IT 103 is a class in Computer Science fundamentals, Internet and Web Page basics, office applications, as well as social and ethical issues related to computing. IT 103 satisfies the General Education requirement for IT Literacy.

George Mason University will be accepting the "Information Systems and
Computer Applications" test offered by the College Level Examination
Program (CLEP) with a credit-accepting score of 75%, i.e., 60/80. However, the CLEP does not give credit for the ethics component. You will need to take a 1-credit ethics course to complete the ethics requirement. You may take one of the following courses to receive credit for the ethics:

CS 105 (1cr), CS 305 (3cr), ENGR 107 (2cr), IT 304 (3cr) or PHIL 112 (1cr).
