AIT Mission, Objectives and Outcomes

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

The BS in Information Technology graduate is one who is versed in the technical aspects of IT, but whose role in the modern enterprise will focus on the use and management of IT resources rather than on the development of leading-edge intellectual property.

Minor in Information Technology
Certificate in Information Technology

Non-technical degree seeking students that complete the IT Minor or the Certificate Program in IT gain the technical background and expertise to have a cutting edge in the job market.

Students have the opportunity to choose from a rich variety of concentration areas to gain specialization in a particular field of interest including:

  1. Information Security
  2. Networking and Telecommunications
  3. Web Development and Multimedia
  4. Database Technology and Programming

Students also have the option of choosing specific courses within the IT major to go on to complete masters programs offered by other departments in a shorter amount of time through an accelerated masters program track.
