Corporate Sponsorship Program

Program Objective

The Corporate Sponsor Program is designed to create mutually beneficial relationships and foster close communication between select area organizations and the Center for Secure Information Systems. This cooperative effort grants easy access to students who may become future employees, and to faculty who are experts in relevant security fields. This partnership provides the Center for Secure Information Systems diversification of funding sources to support research and endowment, access to modern equipment, as well as professional resources to stay in focus with the industry's needs. The company benefits by working with the cutting edge of technology at CSIS's research level. It is a partnership, a cooperation where both sides benefit.

Program Overview

Each corporate member is asked to appoint a primary contact person for the Center for Secure Information Systems. Membership thus enables a personal communication link and individualized service to select companies.

Each member corporation is given an opportunity to speak to students and faculty of the center. This introduces the students and CSIS faculty to the partner companies on an informal basis. Representatives are asked to present an overview of their prospective companies with a focus on current security research areas and current projects. Speaking to the students and faculty may lead to interest in future research efforts and possible employment opportunities.

Company representatives are encouraged to visit the Center for Secure Information Systems research laboratories and meet with the faculty. Corporate members receive copies of technical papers and reports prepared by CSIS faculty and students.

All corporate members are recognized on the Center for Secure Information Systems web site.
